Gorgeous intense plum purple sapphire with wonderful clarity and more fire than an amethyst, weighing approximately 0.50cts surrounded by 0.36cts of old cut diamonds of excellent quality. Set in 18ct gold with a cut out motif to the shoulder. Head size 9.5mm. Victorian circa 1880. All claw settings in immaculate condition. Purple in yellow light (sodium)  and blue in daylight
